Scholarships
We offer two scholarships in memory of people from our church family. One application covers both.
Our members continuing their education beyond high school may apply to the Franzen fund. The Peter Kim award supports study beyond an undergraduate degree.

A continuing gift
Clarence and Priscilla Franzen invested in the young people of this congregation. The fund keeps that support moving forward for each new class of students.
Established 2019
The Peter Kim Scholarship
Dr. Peter Kim was the son of the Rev. Young Kim and Judy Kim, of our church family. He worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for twenty-three years before his death in 2017. The scholarship was established two years later in his memory.
It funds one award a year, for education beyond an undergraduate degree, with emphasis on seminarians, medical students, law students, and others going into the helping professions. Which is to say: it sends people into the work he did.
The Franzen fund reaches a graduating senior at the beginning of it all. This one reaches somebody already several years in, at the point the money usually runs out.
Together, the two funds can support one of our members from the summer after high school through a professional degree.
